FAMILY : ATYIDAE


First and second pereopods differing both in size and structure, chelae less deeplt cleft, carpus of the second pereopods elongate and not or scarcely excavated

The rostral teeth formula, dorsal 20 to 24 and ventral 11 to 14.

In all the speciemens the proximal row of teeth appears considerably longer than the terminal unarmed part, usually two teeth are placed on the carapace

The upper surface of the telson carried four pairs of spinules

The dactylus of the 3rd pair of legs which is armed with 8-10 spines

The terminal claw included

The dactylus of fifth pairs are armed with 44-55 spinules.
